Filled and topped
speciality breads manufacturer, Land Food Products, has launched a
premium, hand-made cheese-topped ciabatta slice for the foodservice
market, already winning a contract with a major national wholesale group.
Mandy Bailey, Land's
general manager, said: "We are delighted with the response to
our hand-made product. We recently conducted a taste-test with a
group of customers and the response was a resounding 'yes' to the
quality and taste of our hand-made product over machine-manufactured products.
"A perfect starter
or accompaniment, it has a superior taste and texture - exactly what
our customers in the restaurant and B&I (business & industry)
sectors want, and certainly something that consumers will enjoy with
their meal."
Land's hand-made,
cheese-topped ciabatta slices are part of the company's frozen
product range and are available in 90-slice catering packs.
