The Speciality
and Fine Food Fair is the meeting place for all producers and
suppliers of speciality and gourmet food and drink and a key event in
the calendar for anyone in the industry, with over 520 specialist
fine food and drink suppliers in attendance. The speciality food
sector has become increasingly vibrant in recent years, which
emphasises the importance of a show like this, supported by The Guild
of Fine Food Retailers.
It is the
perfect forum for producers and suppliers to meet buyers from top end
caterers, delicatessens, independent retailers, food halls, farm
shops, restaurants, wholesalers and distributors, who attend the show
to discover unique and exceptional food and drink from the UK and
around the world.
Visitors will
have the chance to meet small producers and start up businesses, for
which the show provides a unique opportunity to present their
products to the market. Many will use the event as their only
'public' display. Exhibitors liaise with new clients and network with
existing customers face-to-face, in a business focused environment.

Paul
MacDonald, Exhibition Director of The Speciality and Fine Food Fair
says: 'Consumer interest in the quality of food and drink and
awareness of issues such as traceability and regionality is at an all
time high. As a result the Speciality and Fine Food Fair has gone
from strength to strength. The 2006 Fair will feature our largest
number of exhibitors ever. 520 producers will take up 2 floors at
London's Olympia, offering regional delicacies and local
specialities, products made from traditional family recipes and a
range of food and drink that is simply as good as it can be. Great
news for our visitors - deli's, farm shops and restaurants and anyone
else who bridges the gap between farm and fork. In addition, live
demonstrations in the Fine Food Forum and practical business advice
in the new Small Business Forum combine to provide the perfect event
for the Speciality and Fine Food Sector'.
Today Was Fun
(Stand 1025) said: "S&FFF has become one of the most
important trade shows in our calendar. It gives us the opportunity to
meet new buyers from all over the country and abroad and also to
reconnect with our current customers".
Fine
Food Forum
The Fine Food
Forum is a key feature of the show, where chefs and industry experts
will run lively demonstrations and tastings, showing the diverse
nature of speciality food and drink. It is a fully functional
demonstration theatre (accommodating approximately 40 people seated
and more standing), which runs sessions over the course of the three
days in an open and informal environment, focusing on topical issues
within the industry.
Demonstrations
and presentations will come from a wide range of industry experts and
highly regarded chefs. Presenters include Bob Farrand, from the Guild
of Fine Food Retailers, Andy Brookes, Head Chef at The Pink Pig and
Italian chef Giancarlo and his wife Katie Caldesi. The Caldesi's own
two highly successful restaurants and cookery schools in both London
and Tuscany and are also stars of BBC2 show 'Return to Tuscany'.
As the Fine
Food Forum is always popular, we would advise that you use the Forum
programme to plan which sessions you wish to attend. This is also
available online at: www.specialityandfinefoodfairs.co.uk.
The event is
attended by the UK regional food groups including East Midlands Fine
Foods, Heart of England Fine Foods, North West Fine Foods,
Northumbria Larder, South East Food Group Partnership, Taste of the
West, Taste of Anglia, Taste of Arran and The Regional Food Group for
Yorkshire and Humber. The Scottish Pavilion will incorporate all
previous Scottish regional groups and the Foodwise pavilion is a new
initiative from Business Link London.
