Regional Best Cooking Up A Storm At Restaurant Show

Five of the most aspiring regional food companies are being given the chance to showcase their latest products as part of the South West England pavilion at this year's Restaurant Show (18-20 September, Olympia, London).

Organised by South West Food & Drink - the trade organisation dedicated to the development of the region's food and drink industry - the pavilion will be the ideal platform for producers such as Miniscoff, pieminister, Purbeck Ice Cream, The Blue Seafood Company and R-Oil to launch innovative new products.

Attended by top chefs and restaurant owners, The Restaurant Show is a unique opportunity to sell products and services to over 12,000 visitors from the catering trade. The show has a well-earned reputation for unveiling innovative new suppliers, the key to staying ahead of the game in a fiercely competitive environment.

Mike Gilson, project manager of South West Food & Drink, said: "The Restaurant Show is the ideal exhibition for speciality food producers to sell their products into the catering and foodservice industry, because quality regional foods from an original source are now in great demand."

Jon Simon, founder of pieminister, said: "We are hoping to meet a variety of people including restaurateurs, chefs and pretty much anyone who works in foodservice. It's an exciting time for pieminister. We recently collected four gold medals at the Great Taste Awards. Hopefully it will encourage people to try our pies as this is often our best and most successful way of gaining new customers."
