The History of Ron Barceló started in 1929 with a young man's
dream of starting his own "Licorera". Born in Spain, Julian
Barceló emigrated to Dominican Republic and founded
Barceló & Co with the intention of producing the best rum
on the island.
Nearly a century later, Barceló & Co is still very much a
family-run enterprise with the third generation playing an active
role in the day-to-day business of the company.
Ron Barceló is becoming one of the most highly recognised and
fastest growing Rum brands in Europe and is arguably one of the
finest expressions of the master blenders art available in the world today.

is no 3 Rum in Spain. The brand globally sold more than 1.5 million

Ron Barceló AÑEJO- Superior blend created from a
premium selection of rums, all naturally aged for up to four years.
Rich, flavorful and a favourite amongst rum connoisseurs. Elaborated
from the best sugar cane juices, distilled and filtered to eliminate
impurities. Golden red in colour with an exceptionally smooth aroma.
Ron Barceló GRAN AÑEJO- A Blend of different
Rums naturally aged in American oak barrels for over six years. Amber
with a rich golden cast. Citrus, apricot and woody aromas. Smooth
medium weighted texture. Rather rounded palate of light fruit
flavours and a touch of waxy, creamy sensations to finish. Golden red
in colour with a excellent bouquet.
Ron Barceló IMPERIAL- The result of the finest
selection of Caribbean sugar cane, the noblest family reserve that is
born from a rigorous respect of time. A fine blend where the youngest
Rum used is 4 years and the oldest 10 years. These Rums have been
aged in new oak barrels. Imperial is characterised by its amber
colouring with attractive copper red trims, brilliant, crystalline
and brimming with outstanding Vivacity. Its finish is long, soft and
aromatic with as pleasant aftertaste that beckons another
Ron Barceló IMPERIAL received the highest score in 1999 and
2000 given by the Beverage Testing Institute of Chicago (97/100) who
labelled it "a superlative world-class spirit".
