Aagrah Leeds City goes Bollywood!

 

Yorkshire is hosting the stunning and prestigious International Indian Film Academy Awards Weekend 2007 in June. Activities will be held at a variety of venues around the region, including Sheffield Hallam FM Arena, which hosts the actual awards ceremony, Yorkshire County Cricket Club at Headingley where a charity Pro-Celebrity 20/20 match will be held, Leeds Town Hall and many top Yorkshire hotels including Devere Oulton Hall and The Queens Hotel in Leeds.

Aagrah Group of Restaurants is working closely with IIFA, as an official partner, and looks forward to developing this relationship over the months ahead. This will undoubtedly put Yorkshire firmly on the global map to a TV audience of over 450 million viewers this summer. The awards will precede the 30th anniversary celebrations of Aagrah Group of Restaurants.

Aagrah Group officially welcomed IIFA to the UK with the launch of "IIFA Café Aagrah" which followed a Curtain-raiser Press Conference on Thursday 29 March at the Leeds Civic Hall. The event was attended by many celebrities, politicians and stars including the IIFA Brand Ambassador Amitabh Bachchan, seen here with Mohammed Aslam, Managing Director, Aagrah Group.

Leeds City Aagrah (St. Peter's Square, Leeds LS9 8AH) has effectively become "IIFA Café Aagrah" through until June 2007. During this time visitors will be able to see at close hand film memorabilia, be able to enter competitions and dine on special dishes selected personally by Bollywood stars. Top stars are also expected to drop in from time to time!

The fun has only just started! Over the weeks ahead they will be rolling out a number of events and activities to be staged at Leeds City Aagrah, and elsewhere, including:

In addition, the Aagrah Events Catering Team will "swing into action" over the awards weekend (07 -10 June), when they will be catering for over 4,000 people around the region at a number of major outside events.

IIFA not only hosts an annual awards ceremony attracting film stars, politicians, captains of industry, sports icons and celebrities but it also has a business ethic which focuses on leaving a legacy for the greater benefit of mankind, locally, regionally and internationally. Through this event there is a clear aim to diminish the differences which divide people in today's world creating everyone's dream of "One People, one World"
