Booker has
launched its new 'Benefit from the Ban' campaign aimed at helping
licencees plan positively for the smoking ban and effectively manage
its impact on their business.
A new brochure
has been produced for customers, which includes useful help and
advice to manage the ban. It includes how to improve both the
interior and exterior of an establishment and enhance a licensees
food offer.
"The
smoking ban is a threat and an opportunity to licensees," said
Ron Hickey, Director of Catering Development. "We are here to
help our customers effectively plan so their business can positively
benefit from the smoking ban."
There is a
range of new products such as gazebos, patio heaters and hard wood
benches which are ideal solutions for licensees to create an outdoor
smoking area. Also indoor recommendations are made. Booker will be
able to help with all food solutions, whether this is offering ready
to eat products, quick bar snacks or larger meals.
"Whether
its food or cleaning requirements Booker will be able to offer
licensees a complete solution for the smoking ban," said Ron
Hickey. "We have taken our learnings from Scotland to support
our customers. Our research has shown that if careful planning is in
place a pub can actually grow their business. I hope our customers,
over the coming months, will get ready to positively benefit from the ban."
