Cauldron
Foods is headline sponsor of this year's National
Vegetarian Week, which runs from 21 May - 27 May 2007.
Vegetarians are well known for eating their greens but this year The
Vegetarian Society and Cauldron Foods are setting out to prove that
vegetarians also live a greener lifestyle than their meat eating peers.
Rafi Arkin,
Cauldron's Brand Manager says: "We're delighted to have teamed
up with The Vegetarian Society as headline sponsor of this year's
National Vegetarian Week. Over the last 25 years, we have taken great
pride in creating meat-free foods that are imaginative and inspiring.
"From
Organic Marinated Tofu Pieces, to Mint and Feta Falafel Bites and
Mushroom and Tarragon Pâté, we strive to make healthier,
meat free meals as exciting, tasty and nutritious as possible.
"All our
products are approved by The Vegetarian Society, which makes Cauldron
an ideal partner for such a high profile event as National Vegetarian
Week. All our ingredients are GM-free and many of our products are
organic. We've recently changed our packaging to be entirely
recyclable, and are constantly looking at other ways of reducing our
carbon footprint.
"Cauldron
foods recognise the benefits of a meat-free diet for the individual,
as well as the environment, and are delighted to support the aims of
National Vegetarian Week in communicating the benefits of a meat-free
diet to a wider audience."
Annette
Pinner, Chief Executive of The Vegetarian Society said, "The
Society is thrilled that leading vegetarian brand Cauldron Foods has
joined us as Headline Sponsor of National Vegetarian Week 2007.
"This is
our fifteenth awareness week and each year we get more and more
interest from businesses, caterers, the media and members of the
public. With climate change making headlines and many people unsure
of what they can do to help, giving up meat is a positive choice for
you, for the animals and for the world we all share."
