Royal Garden Hotel spices up the London Season

Following last year's stunning success, The Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington's five star hotel, is delighted to announce the return of Sri Lanka's master chef Publis Silva between 24th May and 3rd June, for a Taste of Sri Lanka.

In conjunction with the iconic Mount Lavinia Hotel, Sri Lanka's five-star residence, The Royal Garden Hotel will serve up Sri Lankan specialities which will include a mouth-watering shrimp and mango salad, sumptuous kaliya curry and curd & treacle.

This exceptional evening costs £30 per person and includes a complimentary glass of Arrack on arrival, a buffet style dinner and a selection of fine estate teas.

Chef Silva, one of the most gifted and revered of all Sri Lankan cooks, having written definitive books, entertained Prime Ministers and continually passing on his skills to students, is anxious to introduce this exciting, though relatively unknown cuisine to the world.

Chef Silva has long been an ambassador of Sri Lankan food and has organised several International Food Festivals in collaboration with cookery experts across Canada, Germany, Singapore, China and India. He has also travelled the world representing Sri Lanka at food festivals taking place in world-renowned hotels.

Graham Bamford, General Manager at the The Royal Garden Hotel comments, 'We are known for our honest, accommodating style and flexibility, it is therefore a delight to reintroduce a cuisine that has both flair and individualism, qualities I truly endorse. Whether the view of the Indian Ocean can rival our view of Kensington Palace is debatable, but I look forward to a summer menu that excites and satisfies.'
