TSC Foods Exhibition Debut A Success

TSC Foods' exhibition debut at the International Food Exhibition at ExCel, London has been a 'great success' according to company directors.

The IFE was the first exhibition that TSC Foods, one of the UK's leading suppliers of chilled and frozen food solutions, has presented at during its 16 years of trading. Although the company supplies to all major UK pub and restaurant chains as well as several blue chip retail customers, the company has remained almost "an industry secret". "We are moving from strength to strength" explains managing director Brian Dahl, "having built a solid supplier base and using state-of-the-art facilities to deliver bespoke food solutions it is time for TSC Foods to raise its profile within the industry as part of a growth and development strategy".

TSC Foods' stand featured a fully functioning kitchen, hot soup stations, a chilled display, regular hot food tastings and even an onsite magician to entertain the 400 people that visited the stand. The disappearing business card trick was certainly a unique alternative to electronic data gathering!

The attendance of TSC's Head of Development, Chef Simon Gamble, (pictured left), was a significant 'draw' to the stand.

Having recently received the prestigious Craft Guild of Chefs "Development Chef of the Year" Award, Simon has further established himself as a prominent figure within the food development industry and was on hand to demonstrate his talents and renowned creations to passing visitors.

Throughout the four day exhibition, the company's on-stand sampling received phenomenal interest, so much so that the following notable volumes were consumed over this period. A total of 25 kg of Peppercorn and Diane sauce served on 300 steaks; 100 litres of real gravy with 1000 miniature Yorkshire Puddings; a combined total of 1000 litres of Thai Chicken soup; Tomato, Welsh Cheddar and Rosemary Soup, and Roasted Mediterranean Vegetable and Harissa Soup:100 litres of Caesar salad dressing and 250 kg of TSC's butternut squash., Jambalaya and Chicken, White Wine & Tarragon risottos.

Brian Dahl adds: "The IFE has offered an interesting perspective to the industry in which TSC Foods plays a major role and it has been hugely beneficial to introduce ourselves to new companies and explain how we work. It has been an educational process, for us and our potential customers that will help TSC Foods increasingly establish itself as one of the strongest suppliers of innovative foods solutions in the UK."
