IIFA not only
hosts an annual awards ceremony attracting film stars, politicians,
captains of industry, sports icons and celebrities but it also has a
business ethic which focuses on leaving a legacy for the greater
benefit of mankind, locally, regionally and internationally. Through
this event there is a clear aim to diminish the differences which
divide people in today's world creating everyone's dream "One
People, one World"
Aagrah Group
is proud to officially welcome IIFA to the UK with the launch of
"IIFA Café Aagrah" following the Curtain-raiser
Press Conference on Thursday 29 March at the Leeds Civic Hall. This
event was attended by many celebrities, politicians and stars
including the IIFA Brand Ambassador Amitabh Bachchan.
Leeds City
Aagrah (St. Peter's Square, Leeds LS9 8AH) effectively becomes
"IIFA Café Aagrah" from 29 March through June 2007.
During this time visitors will be able to see at close hand film
memorabilia, be able to enter competitions and dine on special dishes
selected personally by Bollywood stars. We also anticipate visits by
top stars from time to time!
Mohammed
Aslam, Managing Director, Aagrah Group, said:
"2007
is a very significant date for Aagrah; this year marks our 30 years
in business. The association and friendship built up with our IIFA
friends over the past few months is without doubt the icing on the
birthday cake! Moreover, we are truly proud to be able to play our
part in creating a legacy of understanding and harmony between people
from around the world long after the final curtain falls on IIFA
Weekend 2007"
Andre Timmins,
Director IIFA, said: "It is a pleasure to be working with a
reputed organisation like Aagrah for the first ever 'IIFA
Café'. IIFA is proud to bring the Indian film industry closer
to the fans and customers of Aagrah with the experience being created
at the café. It is great to be able to engage with the
communities and people within the region, bringing them the
opportunity to taste first class cuisine with menus made up of
favourite dishes of the stars, in an exclusive ambience created with
film memorabilia. IIFA's partnership with the Aagrah Group of
restaurants brings together a truly new and exciting opportunity for
film lovers and public at large"
