Barilla, the world's leading pasta maker, has launched the PastaBar in the UK, an integrated solution that allows operators to deliver quick and easy authentic Italian pasta dishes with high and consistent quality.

The solution includes single serve pasta and sauce portions, a unique and ultra-fast cooking process, the exclusive pasta cooking machine, marketing materials, advice services with help on menu costing, recipe suggestions, training and technical support and branding and point of sale communications.

The system uses frozen products from the Barilla First Fast range, with nine pasta shapes in 250g portions, ten 150g sauce recipes including favourites such as Pesto, Bolognese and Carbonara and five 400g ready meals in popular flavours. As with all Barilla products, all ingredients are of the finest quality, are fully traceable and contain no additives or preservatives.

The Cooking Pasta Machine is a piece of counter equipment developed exclusively by Barilla, that comprises a water boiler to cook pasta and integral microwave to reheat sauces and ready meals. The CPM has high productivity allowing operators to offer up to 50 portions per hour, with the capacity to prepare two portions simultaneously. The unit can operate with or without plumbing, runs off a normal mains socket and takes up minimal counter space. The CPM is free on loan to operators who make a commitment to a minimum volume.

The Barilla PastaBar solution includes full training and technical assistance, a range of communication material and consultancy advice on creating pasta menus, presentation and costing models.
