Wine Emerges From Firebird Legend

Firebird
Legend Chardonnay 2004 from Moldova is the latest varietal in the
range and sits alongside the Pinot Noir 2003 and Cabernet Sauvignon 2003.
Firebird
Legend Chardonnay 2004 was produced by Cellarworld's Angela Muir MW
in collaboration with Dore Gogan, Moldova's only female Winery
Director. Grown in the Slobazeya Mare Collective near the Romanian
border, the hand-picked Chardonnay grapes were lightly crushed,
de-stemmed and pressed gently. After being left to settle for 48
hours, the wine was decanted to give a clean juice and then fermented
in stainless steel to maximise fruit integrity and freshness. A range
of yeasts were used to give the final blend complexity and character.
