Taste of London 2006
- Celebrating London's Restaurant Royalty

Regarded as THE food event in London by top chefs, food critics and journalists, the highly acclaimed Taste of London event is back for a fourth year. The 2006 event - sponsored by British Airways - will run over four days, from 15th - 18th June in Regent's Park and will be even more interactive, informative and full of top industry personalities than ever before.

As the standard of the event is raised each year, London's highest profile restaurants and chefs will participate, creating the country's most prestigious outdoor food and drink festival.

Around 40 restaurants will participate this year preparing and serving a selection of sample size signature dishes for visitors to enjoy stunning food at a fraction of the usual price, and without waiting for a table reservation! The line-up this year includes ten 'new faces', creating a truly unique opportunity to try the best food in London and renowned top chefs, all under one 'roof'.

Exciting new interactive features for visitors will add a new dimension to the event including a Chefs Theatre, Cookery School, Wine and Spirit Academy, and the Speciality Beer Academy. Accommodating the high calibre of visitors, there will also be a VIP experience available with added food and drink luxuries included in the price of the ticket.

Having tested the event in 2005 with Boxwood Café, Gordon Ramsay was so impressed, he has added two more restaurants to the line up this year including Marcus Wareing at The Savoy Grill and Angela Hartnett at The Connaught.

The Greenhouse, recently tipped to be in line for a second Michelin star in 2007 and Tom Aikens were the first to sign up his eponymous restaurant for the 2006 event. Michel Roux JR of Le Gavroche said of the 2005 event; "For me, what sets Taste of London apart, is the people who attend - all are passionate about food and want to learn more."

Approximately 120 exhibitors will be offering truly dedicated foodies the opportunity to buy to take home an incredible range of speciality produce, drinks and luxury dining and lifestyle related products.

Sitting comfortably between Ascot and Wimbledon in London's social calendar, Taste of London is touted as 'the new Henley' for London's discerning socialites. Tickets will be on sale early in March 2006 ready for the event being held from 15th - 18th June in Regents Park with the aim of attracting 35, 000 visitors.
