Campion Goes Into Battle Again
|
After his
confrontation with Chicken Tikka Masala many years ago and his
sideswipe at the Chinese restaurant industry more recently, top food
critic and journalist Charles Campion is in the forefront of the
battle once again.
In his new
London Restaurant Guide he takes London's famous Brick Lane to task
for "slapdash dishes, higher prices and very high pester
power". Whilst declaring Brick Lane a no-go area he rates the
New Tayyab in Whitechapel amongst his Top Ten as well as Lebanese Al
Waha in Notting Hill.
