Tragus
Takes A Spanish Step |
Tragus
Group Holdings, the owner of the Café Rouge and Bella Italia
restaurant chains, is to follow in the footsteps of the AIM-listed La
Tasca Group by launching a Spanish tapas concept. It will be called Ortega.
The group's
chief executive, Graham Turner, admitted that the launch of a third
brand with development potential could boost the valuation of Tragus
in the event of a stock market flotation or trade sale.
Mr Turner said
the name Ortega had been chosen because it was one of the top 50
Spanish surnames. "I wanted an iconic and easy name that links
in neatly with the concept itself."
The first
Ortega will open in a leisure park in Harlow, Essex. Three more
outlets will open by the end of the year.
