De Clutter Your Cookbooks

If you keep just one cookbook, keep this one: Simply 3 - 5 shows you how to create more than 200 recipes with just five ingredients or less.

We've all bought the celebrity chef cookbook full of great ideas but complicated instructions and obscure ingredients: Now professional chef Fran Winston and her sister Kathy Woods are urging all of us to bring 'Simple' back to the art of cooking with a collection of easy-to-follow recipes that you will actually use.

Not only do the recipes use between just three and five ingredients but to keep things really 'simple', all the ingredients are common items that you can find in any UK supermarket.

Fran and Kathy spent over two years trawling and trialling thousands of recipes to select the very best for the book, and aim to reach those people who would like to cook more at home but lack the time, confidence or experience to give it a go.

The book includes more than 200 recipes for all occasions, from every-day family meals such as 'Mediterranean Chicken' to more sophisticated recipes such as 'Mussels with Garlic, Vermouth and Parsley' and 'Amaretti Biscuits'.

Fran, who owns and runs the Gables School of Cookery in the West Country says: "How many of us own a celebrity chef recipe book that we barely use? They offer some amazing recipes but you need time, patience and often a long list of expensive and hard to find ingredients for the recipes.

"If you are a busy mum with demanding children, a student who has never peeled a potato before, or if you're exhausted after a long day at the office, you simply may not have the time or patience to spend your entire evening in the kitchen.

"Simply 3 - 5 is so easy to use and follow, it will prove useful time and time again," Fran adds.

Fran is well qualified to help anyone become a success in the kitchen. At the Gables School of Cookery, Fran's courses range from intensive four week training for a career in catering, to short one-day courses for absolute beginners and enthusiasts. A number of themed courses have been designed specifically to help people cook for dinner parties, or to provide expertise in Thai or Italian cooking.

Simply 3 - 5 costs £8.95 and is available to purchase online at www.thegablesschoolofcookery.co.uk or via Amazon at www.amazon.co.uk.

Simply 3 - 5 also offers an email service for any amateur cook who needs extra help and guidance. Just email Fran or Kathy at simply3to5@thegablesschoolofcookery.co.uk.
