Adventure
Gourmet @ Café Spice Namaste
On 15th
August 2007, a gourmet luncheon at the world-famous City landmark
restaurant Café Spice Namaste set the scene for the re-launch
of one of the culinary world's more ingenious concepts.
Special guests
including Chris Galvin, Brian Turner, Anton Edelmann and John
Williams -- names behind (and sometimes before) some of London's most
celebrated restaurants - as well as David Mulcahy of the Craft Guild
of Chefs, joined award-winning chef patron Cyrus Todiwala, his wife
Pervin and respected food impresario Peter Hazzard as they unveil
Adventure Gourmet @ Café Spice Namaste.
With Adventure
Gourmet @ Café Spice Namaste, Cyrus, Pervin and Peter believe
they have found the perfect platform for sharing their passion for
great food and education. Peter is transporting his original idea for
a centre of culinary excellence, also called Adventure Gourmet, to
the very heart of London and together with his new partners will show
some of the world's most celebrated chefs what adventures await them
in a space and concept that allows for cookery demonstrations, master
classes, guided culinary tours and inter-active dining. Designed for
both novice and expert cooks, and as much for the culinary neophyte
as the seasoned gourmand, Adventure Gourmet @ Café Spice
Namaste is a response to the tidal wave of demand for hands-on
cooking and culinary learning experiences in the capital.
Peter said, 'London
is a global city, and with a booming financial sector and the
unstoppable upward trend in global tourism, this is where the demand
for culinary adventure never sleeps. It's also a melting pot for the
best international chefs like Cyrus, so it's a simply perfect context
for Adventure Gourmet @ Café Spice Namaste. Besides, Cyrus is
celebrated not just for his genius in the kitchen, but for his and
Pervin's generosity towards both the trade and consumers,
continuously sharing their long-cultivated knowledge. This venture is
not just a good business proposition, it's a showcase for everything
this great couple believe in.'
Cyrus said, 'It's
always been my dream to set up a hub where my peers and I could give
people the opportunity to enjoy what it really means to not just eat
but live and breathe good food. It's about informing and entertaining
and getting people to develop the passion that comes from successful adventures!'
Pervin said, 'Adventures
are all about fun, learning and innovation. Ever since we set up
Café Spice Namaste in the early nineties, Cyrus and I have
never stopped learning and enjoying what we do, which is why we're
still very much in business. We want other chefs and new and old
customers to join us on this new journey, and thank Peter for his
great imagination and foresight!
