Vibrant and
atmospheric with friendly service, sassy salsa sounds, striking
decor, sunny terraces, sizzling fajitas and cool cachaça
cocktails - that just about sums up the Las Iguanas experience, and
The Hub is where you'll find it.
Foodies can
look forward to tucking into a diverse menu inspired by authentic
regional dishes from Brasil, Colombia and Argentina, including Xinxim
(Brasilian lime chicken), Moqueca (coconut and tomato curry), fajitas
with various fillings (Fillet steak, Lemon chicken or Portobello
mushroom and butternut squash) and char-grilled sea bass drizzled
with lemon and basil oil. A tasty Tapas selection includes mouth
watering calamares with fresh garlic & chilli aioli and split
tiger prawns in chilli butter with freshly baked bread. Las Iguanas
serve up a light lunch/early evening express menu, great fiesta menus
for friends to share, imaginative food for children - and everything
is cooked fresh to order.
For those
looking for a drink with a difference head to the Cachaçaria
(the spirit bar) for traditional Brasilian cocktails made with Las
Iguanas Magnifica. The house brand Cachaça is distilled from
sugarcane grown on Las Iguanas' own plantation just outside Rio - it
doesn't get more authentic than that! A fearsome spirit by itself,
it's delicious served with crushed lime and sugar in Las Iguanas'
signature Caipirinha or with raspberry liqueur and elderflower and
topped with bubbly as a Cana Royale.
A tried and
tested success story, Las Iguanas has been bringing a slice of Latin
life to a growing number of cities for 16 years. Now there are 14
sites well established in Bristol, Bath, Cardiff, Nottingham,
Leicester, Sheffield, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester and Brighton,
Oxford and two sites in London - the Royal Festival Hall and the O2
Dome. Milton Keynes is part of the latest expansion programme for the
Bristol-based company.
Every
restaurant has its own individual character, but the flamboyant
wrought iron chandeliers and colourful mosaics set the scene for a
night out in Rio - wherever you are.
The new site
is a 4500 sq ft ground floor site, with 140 seats in the restaurant,
50 in the bar and 140 on the piazza.
