Spice Bollywood has the Recipe for Success

One of Sunderland's newest Indian restaurants has received its first nomination - for a top national award - after only six months of trading.

Spice Bollywood received its nomination for the 2007 Customer Excellence Awards after only opening its doors to Sunderland in March. The new Sunderland restaurant has joined Spice Bollywood's already well established restaurant, located in the Metro Centre, which has also received a nomination for the awards.

The Customer Excellence Awards recognises outstanding customer service and asks clientele to grade the restaurant accordingly. The awards look at customer loyalty and recommendations, while asking diners to rate the restaurant's value for money, customer service, price and the overall experience during their visit.

Ravi Dhugga, owner of Spice Bollywood, commented: "We are absolutely thrilled to have received this recognition in such a short space of time. At Spice Bollywood we are totally committed to providing all our clientele with the best possible level of service along with the finest and freshest Punjabi dishes."

The authentic Indian restaurant has a team of specially selected native Indian chefs that prepare each dish individually to order. Using traditional Punjabi cooking methods, only the freshest ingredients are used to create truly authentic dishes, without any artificial colours, additives or preservatives.
