The
Restaurant Show is celebrating its 20th anniversary by inviting 20
top internationally renowned chefs including Claude Bosi of Hibiscus,
Michael Caines of Gidleigh Park, Chris Galvin of Galvin at Windows,
Giorgio Locatelli of Locanda Locatelli and Rose Gray & Ruth
Rogers of River Café to demonstrate their skills on The Stage.
Every hour on the hour they (and 15 other innovative and
inspirational chefs) will be showing how to prepare new and exciting
dishes. There will be more Michelin stars at The Restaurant Show than
anywhere else in the country making it a must attend event for the
professional restaurateur and those passionate about hospitality.
This year will also see an increased focus on ethnic cuisines, in
particular Asian: Atul Kochhar of Benares (pictured, left),
and
Cyrus Todiwala of Café Spice Namaste will show visitors some
dishes from the East.
Year on year,
chefs have received increased media coverage propelling them into the
limelight. At the same time they have become ambassadors for topical
issues such as healthy eating, organic & free-range production
values and sustainable eating. The Stage will showcase some of the
world's greatest chefs and content of their individual demos is set
to inspire debate and help bring out the talent of those who watch -
it is sure to excite a hungry appetite.
In addition
to this stunning line-up, The Stage will play host to a controversial
Panel Debate on Tuesday 7th October in association with the charity
Action Against Hunger. The debate panel will consist of some high
profile players in the food & drink industry, including some
critics. More details of the debate will be revealed shortly.
