DAB Makes It A Hat Trick At The World Beer Awards

The World Beer Awards (WBA 09) are highly acclaimed and are known as the Olympics of beers amongst the trade and those in the know. The international panel of judges had the enviable job of tasting their way through hundreds of entrants from around the globe: from the UK, Europe, USA, Australia and Japan to find a winner for every category. DAB Original was among the contenders in the Premium Lager Section and won through as World's Best Dortmunder/ Helles for the third year running.

Peter Karsten, Managing Director of Surfax, the UK's distributor of DAB comments: "I am really thrilled to see DAB receiving this accolade for an impressive third time in succession, beer aficionados have for a long time realised what a great tasting product DAB is."

DAB has long been recognised as one of Germany's finest beers. Dating back to humble beginnings in 1868 in Dortmund, it only took DAB ten years to realise the value of the export market. Today, DAB is one of the most exported beers from Germany behind Becks and Holsten, selling in over seventy countries.

DAB's success has been due to its unswerving commitment to quality. DAB offers an authentic, full flavoured genuine Dortmunder beer with 5% ABV and with a distinctive flowery bouquet. DAB's reputation for being a genuine imported German beer has led to its continued expansion across the UK market.
