Cheese & Wine Festival at Southbank Centre

Friday 23 - Sunday 25 October, free admission

 

This new festival at Southbank Centre is a must-attend event for all cheese and wine lovers. It's a celebration of this perfect combination and an opportunity to learn more about it.

Visitors will enjoy dozens of stalls showcasing and selling many varieties of cheese from around the world, from the more familiar ones made with cow's milk, to the more unusual goat's and sheep's cheeses. These stalls are complemented with a carefully selected number of wine stalls, featuring wine varieties from different countries and regions. Plan the event around lunch or dinner and enjoy some delicious hot savoury foods made with cheese.

We are also celebrating Apple Day (21 October) during the Festival with a scrumptious selection of apple varieties to complement the cheeses.

 

 

Visitors will be invited to join tutored tastings, talks and demonstrations and learn about cheese & wine making processes, cheese & wine matching, and how to incorporate both in savoury & sweet dishes.

Book signings add to the fun and provide wonderful gift ideas.

The Cheese & Wine Festival is part of a series of specialist food events at Southbank Centre, including Chocolate Festivals and regular Slow Food Markets.
