Happy Chinese New Year
from Black Rock Grill!

New Year is a traditional time for families to get together and with Chinese New Year, the Year of the Ox being celebrated on 26th January and the Japanese celebrating New Year on 1st January there's no better time to add a touch of the orient to your menu.

Black Rock Grill, the UK's premium volcanic rock concept is ideal for pubs, restaurants, hotels, golf clubs, cafes and bistros looking for an innovative way to increase profit from their menu or looking to provide ethnic dishes for the first time. Black Rock Grill managing director Peter Hatter explains: "Operators such as The Bird Cage restaurant in High Wycombe and the White Hart Inn in East Devon have seen their food sales double and food profit margin increase by up to 65% since they started using the Black Rock Grill."

Black Rock Grill, the UK's premium volcanic rock concept is a fun and interactive method of cooking, making it ideal for large groups of diners. New Year is a traditional time for families to get together and with Chinese New Year, the Year of the Ox being celebrated on 26th January and the Japanese celebrating New Year on 1st January there's no better time to add a touch of the orient to your menu.

Black Rock Grill has recently launched a bamboo platter designed to enhance a range of dishes including Oriental, Japanese, Korean and fusion cuisine. Interchangable plates and bowls can be added to the platter, giving a choice of presentation options. Small ramekin dishes can be added to the platter for dips, sauces and dressings. Rice or noodles are an important part of Oriental cuisine and they can be served alongside the platter as an accompaniment.

Black Rock Grill takes the idea of a live cooking station a step further, by creating a dining concept that allows the customer to cook their meal just the way they like it at the table. This interactive way of cooking enables operators to offer a choice of easy to prepare, authentic dishes at a premium price with a minimum of wastage and a reduction in labour costs.

This successful concept is ideal for pubs, restaurants, hotels, golf clubs, cafes and bistros looking for an innovative way to increase profit from their menu or looking to provide ethnic dishes for the first time. Black Rock Grill managing director Peter Hatter explains: "Operators such as The Bird Cage restaurant in High Wycombe and the White Hart Inn in East Devon have seen their food sales double and food profit margin increase by up to 65% since they started using the Black Rock Grill."

Peter continues: "The Black Rock Grill brings out the full flavour of fish and meat without the need for any fat or oil, making it the ideal method for cooking a selection of authentic Oriental dishes which will appeal to health conscious diners too. It's easy to create memorable Oriental dishes including sea bass with ginger or chicken satay."

"Add traditional dishes to your menu such as a Korean barbeque where slivers of meat, poultry and seafood are marinated in oriental spices ready for the customer to cook on the Black Rocks. Or serve a Japanese style selection of Teriyaki with skewers of beef, chicken and pork or grilled tofu salad glazed with miso paste to be grilled on a Black Rock Grill."

Some operators prefer to offer an entirely Black Rock Grill menu, providing time and labour saving costs. Others find the Black Rock Grill an easy way to offer a selection of authentic tasting ethnic dishes alongside their regular menu. Visit www.blackrockgrill.com for a selection of free recipes.

Black Rock Grill offers an extensive marketing support package including themed menus, branded staff uniforms, banners and POS. Available to purchase, rent or lease. In addition there is an industry leading service maintenance system, in house training including a comprehensive health and safety DVD. All equipment is certified food safe and the specialist Black Rock ovens can hold 300kg of super heated rocks. All ovens, platters and rocks have been tested and comply with NSF International standards. No other rocks on the market achieve this high standard of testing and certification. Black Rock Grill is a member of CESA and CE, UL, CUL and NSF approved.
