Italian
restaurant group Strada has opened its doors in Newbury offering
diners an authentic taste of Italy.
Located in
Market Place, the stylish restaurant provides an intimate,
contemporary setting where diners can enjoy great tasting Italian favourites.
The secret of
Strada's success is simplicity. Restaurants use only the finest,
freshest ingredients and traditional Italian cooking techniques to
enhance the natural flavour of food.
Even
ingredient staples such as extra virgin olive oil, prosciutto crudo
and buffalo mozzarella are sourced from the best Italian suppliers so
guests get nothing less than the best.
Take Strada's
traditional pizzas, each one theatrically spun by hand in the
restaurant. Or the risotto dishes which are cooked to perfection
every time.
New
dishes on the menu include:
o Gnocchi
alla Bava - gnocchi with an exquisite Fontina Valdostana cheese sauce
o Napoletana
Schiacciatella - hand stretched pizza bread with tomato, anchovies,
capers and olives
o Panzerotti
Porcini - pasta filled with Porcini mushrooms, ricotta and grana padano
o Saltimbocca
di Maiale - fillet of pork with sage and prosciutto with potato
purée, green beans and a white wine, sage and butter sauce
When it comes
to quality, the wine list is no exception, offering a range of fine
regional Italian favourites. In addition, every table receives a
complimentary bottle of Strada's trademark filtered water.
