Chinese
New Year 2009 begins on 26th January and to celebrate the Year of the
Ox, multi award-winning Kai Mayfair, one of the capital's favourite
Chinese restaurants, is serving up an unmissable treat.
The Ox is the
sign of prosperity through fortitude and hard work. The Ox is not
extravagant, and the thought of living off credit cards or being in
debt is abhorrent. All in all, an apt sign for the times in which we
now find ourselves.
Kai Mayfair
will be marking the start of the Year of the Ox with three specially
created dishes. The restaurant is also hoping to temporarily ease the
economic gloom by bringing its customers news of good fortune
courtesy of one of the world's leading Chinese Astrologers, Ting-Foon Chik.
Diners eating
at Kai Mayfair on 26th January will be treated to exclusive readings
from Foon.
Audiences
with Foon, whose remarkable insights have been applauded by everyone
from CNN and the Howard Stern Show to BBC Radio 4 and The Guardian,
are extremely popular. Early bookings for this special evening at Kai
are recommended to avoid disappointment.
The recipient
of a host of accolades, including Harden's London Restaurants 2009's
Best Chinese Restaurant in the £45 and over category, Kai
Mayfair continues to justify its reputation as a place where the most
discerning and adventurous foodies come to satisfy their palates.
