Paperino's West End, the popular Italian restaurant in Glasgow, is
helping egg on the craze for cupcakes currently sweeping through the
city with the introduction this week of a tempting array of cupcake
offers already proving irresistible to the city's burgeoning band of
cupcake aficionados.
From this week, Paperino's West End at 227 Byres Road is offering a
selection of delicious hand-decorated cupcakes for £1.95, or
with a tea or coffee to-go for £3.00. Furthermore, between
2.30pm and 5pm, the restaurant is offering a sit-in tea or coffee
with cupcake for £3.50.
Mark Billington, managing director at Paperino's, said, "Glasgow
seems to have gone cupcake crazy over the last few months! That's
why, following a growing number of requests from customers for
cupcakes, we've teamed up with Glasgow-based producer Michelle
Livingstone at Eat Cupcakes to provide a selection of the most
delectable treats to tempt the most discriminating taste buds."
All cupcakes available from Paperino's are topped with
melt-in-the-mouth butter cream frostings and sugar icings, handmade
and flavoured with real fruit. And all ingredients are sourced
locally and baked traditionally on the range, with no additives.
Paperino's is renowned for its traditional Italian cuisine, with a
menu offering a selection of fresh meat, fish, pasta and pizza dishes
as well as morning coffees and pastries - and now cupcakes.
All three Paperinos' - the other two are located at 283 Sauchiehall
Street and 78 St Vincent Street - are popular with business
customers, families (children welcome) and friends looking to catch
up over a delicious Italian meal. |
