The
exceptional Brasserie St Nicholas, based in the heart of Sevenoaks,
was established in September 2004 by sisters Jane Armstrong and
Louise O'Sullivan, their aim being to offer a stylish, tranquil and
peaceful setting in both bar and restaurant, but to also offer diners
a truly authentic French menu, cooked to perfection by expert French
chefs, bringing a varied and top quality menu to diners, without the
exorbitant price tag so often associated with top quality food.
Using
their own experiences, likes and dislikes for dining out, Jane and
Louise have ensured that Brasserie St Nicholas has, in a very short
time, established itself as the premiere venue for the 'locals' to
visit time and time again, but also it has become a venue for the
huge number of 'non-locals' including London based diners, all of
which are desperately looking for that place to 'get out to'.
The
main influence behind the restaurant is the Grand European
Café concept, but more than that Brasserie St Nicholas is able
to provide for all occasions, from large party celebrations, to those
smaller, more intimate romantic exchanges. It offers diners a perfect
backdrop to any social event. Further to this the Brasserie has an
amazing terrace for customers to enjoy a relaxing lunch on a sunny day.
The
Brasserie prides itself on more than just a menu, (despite it being
excellent). Jane wanted to ensure that everything is as it should be
for individuals spending money on dining out. As a result, every last
detail is given the utmost consideration. The staff are attentive but
not intrusive, the room is beautiful, the lights are soft, the
flowers are fresh and the glasses are sparkling and this is just the
beginning. The menu and the wine lists are extensive but not to the
point where quality is sacrificed. Both wine list and menu are
excellent, fully complimented, and also allow guests to spend money
if they want to, but it is not a pre-requisite.
In
short, Brasserie St Nicholas offers a'complete' dining experience
not only offering a real alternative to those over priced eateries we
all know of, but moreover, offering a dining experience that will
touch and stimulate all of your senses and leave you returning for
more. For something special try the jazz lunches held on the 1st
Sunday of every month.
Recently
the Brasserie was awarded its first and much deserved AA Rosette.
