Brilliant Solution To The Initial Problem
Following
the announcement by Rentokil Initial plc that they will be closing
their loss-making UK Linen and Workwear operations of Initial Hygiene
UK, to focus on their UK Washroom and Dustmat business, David
Stevens, Chairman of Brilliant Laundry Group suggests their customers
should look before they leap into new contracts. Customers of
Initial's UK Linen and Workwear services have been notified of the
decision and that the company will close their operations on 30 April 2006.
David Stevens
comments, "Many restaurant owners and hoteliers are likely to
feel panicked by this announcement and feel they have to sign with
the first laundry that comes along. Although three months sounds a
long enough lead-time, it is in reality quite a short timescale to
introduce a new laundry contract. However, I believe that it should
be an opportunity for Initial customers to pause and reflect on what
they would like their future laundry service to look like."
