The 15th
Anniversary of The Bangladesh British Chamber of Commerce was marked
but a grand dinner at the famous Troxy in London's Commercial Road recently.
Some 800
people crammed into the art deco hall to hear speaker after speaker
refer to those days fifteen years ago when the Chamber started as the
fledgling concept of founder M.A. Rahim. Nowadays it is a vibrant,
multi-faceted organisation led by Chairman Dr Wali Tasar Uddin, MBE,
JP and Director General Aziz Ur Rahman and has great plans for the
future of relationships, commercial and otherwise, between Bangladesh
and Great Britain.
A special
presentation of 'Tunes from Bengal' was supplied by Dr Ananda Gupta
for the evening and a fashion show by Harun Pasha rounded off the evening.
