Healthy Snacks From Discovery

 

Healthy tortilla wraps and tasty corn tortillas chips are just two of the delicious snacks that Discovery Foods will be sampling at the International Food & Drink Event 18-21 March 2007 at ExCel in London.

Discovery is a leading supplier of wraps, tortillas, chapattis, sauces, seasonings and Mexican accompaniments such as salsa, guacamole and jalapeno peppers to the grocery and foodservice industries.

IFE07 provides the ideal opportunity for Discovery to demonstrate how best to enjoy its products. Visitors will be able to sample Discovery Tortilla Chips served with Discovery Salsa and Calavo Guacamole; Elephant Atta Chapattis served with vegetable curry, Discovery Frozen Avocado Halves and Discovery tortillas and wraps served with various healthy fillings.

Sarah Dullaghan, Discovery brand manager, says: "We want to give visitors the chance to taste our products and see for themselves what makes them special. We'll be demonstrating how to fill and fold our wraps and, with growing emphasis on healthy school lunches, we'll be suggesting some great-tasting, healthy fillings that appeal to children."

Discovery flour tortillas and wraps are exceptionally soft, pliable and versatile and have a wonderful fresh bread taste. They are essential for traditional Mexican dishes, like fajitas and quesadillas, but they can also be filled with a host of non-Mexican dishes such as hoi sin duck or lamb kebab.

Discovery thick-cut tortilla chips are made with 100% pure maize corn flour and have a distinctive corn taste, crispy crunch and are delicious smothered with cheese, Discovery Salsa and Discovery Jalapenos for nachos.

Rich in vitamin E, avocados are great for starters, main meals or salads. Discovery Frozen Avocado Halves and Slices are cut from top quality Hass avocado pears and are individually quick frozen so customers only need thaw what they require. Once defrosted, they are perfectly ripe and taste and behave just like fresh avocados.
