Free Nan - If She Likes Curry?

 

To encourage people of all ages to benefit from the health properties of spicy food, Pataka, a Bengali and Indian restaurant situated in the Newington area of Edinburgh, are offering a Free Nan with every order.

In a bid to teach whole families about the health benefits of spicy food Pataka are encouraging customers to bring their family to dine at Pataka including their Nan (granny) for a complimentary spicy dish and free nan bread.

Waiters will explain the menu highlighting the various spices used. They will explain how spices replace the need for salt and sugar in everyday cooking and how the compound that makes spicy food hot and generates the heat in muscle strain remedies could be the key to beat some cancers. Capsaicin, active component of chillies, has produced good results in tests to kill a variety of tumour cells, including pancreatic cancer.

The restaurant will also highlight why nan bread is eaten with curry and why different flavours compliment different dishes.
