Hi
there, I thought I would like to inform you of a recent visit my
family and I had at San Marco, Birmingham. We had been to this
restaurant before on many occasions when entertaining and for
celebrations. We arrived on time and the restaurant was busy. We had
family members with us celebrating an 18th birthday. The service was
swift and rushed, the manager (head waiter) was abrupt and
condescending when we pronounced something wrong. I immediately
assessed that this situation would be similar to a cattle market.
We
completed our main and ordered more wine x2 and an ice cream with 2
spoons. We were watched as we ate our food and then this head man
came over after approximately 10 minuets after the main and
immediately after the dessert and asked us to move off the table and
into a small bar area. My partner waited for him to return and had a
word. We informed him that he had embarrassed us in front of our
guests and that this was uncalled for. We had spent over £200
and were treated appallingly. We shall not be returning there and
will seek to add this to their official review site and any online survey.
The
service there has steadily declined over the months and the food was
substandard. We had a seafood platter which was all deep fried and
the Calamari was all tentacles. We did ask about this again we were
informed that the menu had changed and that was that. I am pleased to
say that we have better and friendlier service at our local Indian
restaurant,
Regards,
Jeanette
