Two
female and six male cooks were named at a House of Commons reception
hosted by Pete Wishart M.P. as finalists to battle for this year's
Indian Chef title organised by Tommy Miah.
The eight cooks will cook their
ideal four-dish Indian Meal at Edinburgh's Telford College on Monday,
February 25 in pursuit of the International Indian Chef of the Year
title and £1,000 prize.
They will have
two-and-a-half-hours from 10.30 a.m on Monday, February 25 to cook
their ideal four-dish Indian Meal in the training kitchens of
Edinburgh's Telford College. Judges will monitor the cooking and
taste the finished dishes before awarding the title and £1,000
prize and the £250 Lady Fraser Prize for the best vegetarian dish.
