Mr
Nazrul Islam's Jalalabad restaurant in Newbury Park has achieved the
very considerable accolade of being named as one of the Top 100
Indian restaurants in Britain in the "Best in Britain
Awards" (BIBA 2007) organised for the 15th consecutive year by
menu Magazine.
This follows on to an award as
Best Indian Restaurant by the Archant Ilford Recorder in 2006 and a
similar Top 100 award in 2007 from Pat Chapman's Cobra Good Curry Guide.
The real level of these
achievements can be realised when they are put in the context of
having been won within just 2 years of the opening of the popular
Indian restaurant.
In December 2007 Mr Islam and his
team put together a new menu that consists of the authentic
traditional Indian dishes alongside some of the new signature dishes
such as Chicken Peshwari, Ghost-E-Lazeez and Roushnor Chilli Chicken.
Along side this they have put together a more comprehensive wine list
and will soon be introducing a more healthy range of summer drinks
and deserts.
Jalalabad Newbury Park is a
family run restaurant which aims to offer good quality food and
service to all its customers. Head chef /owner of the business Mr
Nazrul Islam, is extremely proud of his awards and aims to deliver
authentic dishes and the best quality possible as he has previously
at Jalalabad Ilford Lane for a number of years.
