Cherry Valley To Launch Foodservice Offering At
IFE 2009

Cherry Valley, the UK's leading supplier of duck, is set to launch an exciting new foodservice offering to the trade audience at The International Food and Drink Event (IFE) this March.

Cherry Valley Farm Fresh will offer the finest and freshest duck products to retailers, caterers, distributors and wholesalers, providing more meat and less fat than any other brand on the market and allowing buyers to supply the highest quality produce to their customers.

Through 40 years of experience and unique farming heritage, Cherry Valley Farm Fresh will provide half and whole ducks with superior texture and taste qualities into the market place. Farm Fresh ducks also have better and unique welfare systems as they enjoy natural daylight and fresh air but also have the benefit of being protected from countryside predators and disease.

This will be the 10th year Cherry Valley has exhibited at the global food and drink show, which is the ultimate product sourcing event for buyers in the food industry. 2009 will see the company's stand divided into three themed sections to provide information about Farm Fresh, in addition to the established consumer and Chinese market offerings.

Eric Jagger at Cherry Valley said: "We are extremely excited about the launch of Farm Fresh, and IFE 2009 provides the ideal opportunity for us to introduce this higher welfare duck to key players in the industry and communicate the versatility of duck, how it readies itself to a number of cooking occasions and position it as a fantastic alternative to more traditional meat and poultry dishes. Those with a poultry requirement can discover the quality of product we can offer them and there will be lots of information on offer, as well as Cherry Valley Farm Fresh representatives on hand to answer any questions."

Passionate about the quality of the ducks it produces, Cherry Valley promotes excellence every step of the way by looking after the welfare of the ducks and the environment they grow in so customers can be satisfied they are receiving the best cared for produce. The company is achieving this through:

* giving ducks access to verandas from the barns in which they live so they are free to come and go as they please,

* laying fresh straw for Farm Fresh ducks on a daily basis and supplying it back to the farms to use as a natural fertilizer,

* having purpose built pools of water housed in our verandas so that our ducks can wade, preen and paddle,

* keeping the duck's drinking water separate in the barns along with the feed, which contains locally sourced wheat and contains no bonemeal or additives.

Cherry Valley can be found at stand S2505 at IFE 2009, which will take place at London's Excel on 15th - 18th March 2009.
