The new Mood Food Restaurant
Awards will be announced in May this year, taking over from The Best
in Britain Awards which have been run by Peter & Colleen Grove
for the past fifteen years.
Nominations are now open to
readers of Mood Food Magazine, restaurant customers and even the
restaurants themselves with short lists being announced in April.
"We are particularly keen
to focus on the standard of food and service much more than we may
have in the past," commented Peter. "Contenders are
often nominated based on décor and general impression but
quality and value for money are now so important that we feel the
food must come first."
As with the BIBAs, there will be
categories for Indian, Oriental, Italian and Other Ethnic both
regional and national and final selections will be made by Peter and
Colleen based on their many years' experience in the industry.
