Spaghetti House Set To Open At Westfield London

Spaghetti House, the family company that introduced true Italian home-cooked food to London over 50 years ago, is set to open its latest restaurant at Westfield London this April.

Spaghetti House Restaurant Group launches a new venue this April at Westfield London, the capital's ultimate shopping destination in W12. Developed at a cost of £1 million, the new 168 seat restaurant will be located in The Loft, directly above the bustling communal dining area known as the Balcony, and overlooking The Atrium, which is the heart of Westfield London.

The interior will be reminiscent of the 'contemporary retro' style which shows how the group continues to evolve, whilst remaining true to its original roots, and reflecting classic Italian taste and detail. The design is influenced by Stefana Lavarini, the company's marketing director and daughter of Simone Lavarini, co-founder of Spaghetti House. 'Going back to our family roots and resisting the appeal of trends and rollout interiors means getting to the heart of our brand, based on the heritage and evolution of the original site in Goodge Street, W1' says Stefana.

Thus, breathing originality into the original concept, an eye-catching high seating counter will enhance the entrance, leading into the main restaurant with its impressive temperature controlled wine display. Theatre will come from the open kitchen with its flame fired pizza oven, positioned at the rear of the restaurant - reminiscent of the open kitchens seen as 'revolutionary' some 50 years ago at the original Goodge Street branch. With a striking combination of red leather banquettes, booth seating, dining tables and poser tables, coupled with iconic Italian images offset by dark wood display cabinets, ceramic textures and light wood floor finishes, Spaghetti House Westfield London will capture the essence of true Italian urban style.

In addition to the restaurant, the Loft Terrace to the front and outside the main room will provide a sheltered al-fresco style of dining. Shoppers, cinema goers and local residents will experience the appeal of an informal, authentic family-run ristorante/pizzeria. Families and children will be made especially welcome with the 'Menu per Bambini', which includes a selection of dishes from the main menu particularly suitable to the little ones.

Bringing a slice of Italian life to Westfield London, The Spaghetti House menu will be based on the key principles of authentic Italian cuisine, complemented by a notable selection of Italian wines. The menu will showcase modern Italian dishes, classics and home-made favourites. The trademark pasta dishes and stone-baked pizzas will sit alongside new regional specialities inspired by the chefs' recent workshop in Le Marche region of central Italy with chef Franco Taruschio, from the famed Walnut Tree restaurant.

Dishes are prepared using market fresh ingredients, sourced from local suppliers or from specially imported premium Italian ingredients, under the culinary guidance of group head chef Marco Giordano
