The Tapas Lunch Company Ltd, Surrey-based importers of Spanish food
founded in 2005, have launched their latest online gastronomic
project - 'Spanish Food UK'. More than a company blog, the new
website is described as a "reference point for the UK Spanish
food community", featuring Spanish recipes, food buying guides,
restaurant and delicatessen reviews and constantly updated,
hand-selected news from around the web.
Spanish cuisine remains relatively underdeveloped in the UK compared
to some of its closest cousins, like Italian and French, but that is
changing as consumers start to take an interest in authentic Spanish
products like chorizo and traditional Spanish styles of cooking and
serving, exemplified by the tapas phenomenon.
"We set up 'Spanish Food UK' in order to start a conversation
with the growing number of Spanish food lovers around the
country," says Jonathan Pincas, co-founder of The Tapas Lunch
Company. "Our aim is to share the information and insight that
comes our way on a daily basis and to be able to listen to the
thoughts and opinions of our customers and readers. All the content
on the site is part of a dialogue - we're looking for comments,
discussion, recipes suggestions and restaurant critiques - just about
anything to do with Spanish food in the UK".
'Spanish Food UK' can be found at www.spanish-food.org.uk whilst The
Tapas Lunch Company's online store, selling a wide range of authentic
Spanish imports, is at www.thetapaslunchcompany.co.uk. |
