The
winners of Scotland's first ever Restaurant Awards were unveiled at a
glittering ceremony at Edinburgh's EICC recently (Monday 28th
January). Top chefs, restaurateurs and food lovers came together to
celebrate some of Scotland's top culinary talent as well as the
nation's favourite places to eat.
Andrew Fairlie walked away with
the coveted award for Best Chef with The Grill at Dakota being named
as Restaurant of the Year. Wok & Wine, Roti and La Parmigiana
took home the gongs for Best Chinese, Indian and Italian restaurants
respectively and Aberdeen's Silver Darling scooped the Best Customer
Service prize.
Promoted through Business 7 and
supported by 5pm.co.uk, the Scottish Restaurant Awards were set up to
reward and celebrate Scotland's outstanding dining scene. Each of the
winners was selected by the public and the Scottish Restaurant Award Judges.
Said Charles Shaw, Chairman of 5pm.co.uk,
"It's wonderful to see so many hugely talented restaurants
and chefs getting the recognition they deserve tonight. Scotland
