Foodies rejoice! In response to
overwhelming demand from customers at Café Spice Namaste,
Cyrus Todiwala MBE has launched a new range of pickles, chutneys and oils.
Mr Todiwala's pickles and
chutneys reflect Cyrus' well known enthusiasm for experimentation,
fusing authentic Indian spices with the best the seasons have to
offer. 'I want to create something for every palate,' he says.
Wherever possible Cyrus celebrates the very best of British produce
using ingredients suchas; Cheltenham beetroot, sweet Russet apples
and Organic Estate venison. Mr Todiwala's pickle, chutney and oil
flavours include Wild Boar Vindaloo Pickle, Tomato and Garlic
Chutney, Red Chilli Oil and the, now famous, Parsee Wedding Pickle.
Of the Parsee religion himself, Cyrus has drawn on his fascinating
cultural heritage to bring together a traditional accompaniment to
any Parsee Wedding Feast. Shredded carrots, diced baby figs, chopped
dates and golden sultanas combine to make this celebration pickle
with jaggery (raw cane sugar) cane vinegar and crushed matured mustard.
Mr Todiwala's pickles, chutneys
and oils are naturally delicious with Indian food but can also perk
up Sunday roasts, pies and salads. Better still give daily sandwiches
a mouth-watering makeover, But be warned - one taste and you'll be addicted!
