Multi award-winning Indian restaurant La Porte des Indes has
unveiled a superb new 650 calorie Light Lunch Menu that will make
easing into the New Year a little less painful.
The average person consumes a massive 7,000 calories on Christmas
Day alone, so it's small wonder that come January many of us try to
embrace a healthier lifestyle. Once back at work however, resolutions
weaken, particularly when it comes to finding nutritious but filling
lunchtime fare.
With all this in mind, La Porte des Indes' renowned Executive Chef
Mehernosh Mody has created a three-course lunch that is not only
delicious, but packed with essential vitamins, minerals and enzymes
that will help eliminate stored toxins and support the body back to
optimal health.
To start are tandoori-grilled florets marinated with green lime
and lemongrass and yoghurt, a combination packed with iron, calcium
and vitamins A and C.
The main course offers a choice between omega and zinc-rich
tandoori grilled wild salmon steaks rolled in mustard, fennel,
chillies and aniseed or Portobello mushrooms marinated with green
herbs and grilled in the tandoor. Served with tomato rougail, this
combination is replete with selenium, B-vitamins, lycopene, potassium
and B-carotene.
Both choices are accompanied with organic red rice, naturally high
in fibre, Vitamin B, magnesium and potassium, B vitamins-infused
thyme roti and tempered yellow lentils with garlic, red chillies and
curry leaves, an excellent source of protein, calcium and iron.
A lychee and rose sorbet, rich in antioxidants and free radicals
and with no added sugar, completes the offering.
This tasty yet guilt-free repast is available for just £19
per head to include a glass of freshly squeezed juice.
