Nights On Heddon Street

Heddon
Street, the food quarter of Regent Street, London W1 will transform
into a Spanish fiesta for three Thursday evenings in August
presenting thrilling flamenco dance performances, live Spanish
musicians and free dance lessons. Spanish nights on Heddon Street
will take place on August 17, 24 and 31 with music beginning at 6pm
and the last dance at 10pm. This activity is part of 7th Annual
Regent Street Festival 2006 - A Walk through Spain, which will be
held on September 3.
The following
six Heddon Street restaurants will offer a superb choice of Spanish
food and drink encouraging an evening full of charm, romance and passion:
* Zinc Bar
and Grill - 21 Heddon Street, Tel: 020 7255 8899. Selection of
mouth-watering tapas including roast chorizo, patatas bravas and a
selection of Spanish hams. Mix and match 3 choices for £9 or 5
choices for £14 and 8 choices for £20 and wash it all down
with a jug of refreshing Sangria, made from an authentic recipe for £20.
* Momo
- 25 Heddon Street, Tel: 020 7434 4040. Traditional Gazpachio and an
excellent selection of Spanish wines at this celebrity favourite.
* Below Zero
- 29-33 Heddon Street, Tel: 020 7478 8910. Three set tapas platters;
£8 for small, £15 for medium and £22 for large,
including gourmet treats like steamed mussels with tomato and veal
truffle pecorinos. Make sure you try the sangria fizz, Champagne
sangria cocktail for £12 a jug.
* Gabrielle's
- 14 Heddon Street, Tel: 020 7494 2234. Barbecue tapas platter,
including chorizo, lamb chops and marinated pork filet served with a
tasty vegetarian paella. Also on offer will be a selection of Spanish wines.
* The
Living Room - 3-9 Heddon Street, Tel: 020 7292 0570. Spanish
themed prix fixe menu. For an entrée, enjoy chorizo and red
pepper salad, followed by a main of baked prawn frittata with smoked
paprika, finished off perfectly with a dessert of Seville orange
pannacotta. The Living Room will also be serving two Spanish wines,
Torres Vina Esmeralda (white) and Torres Coronas (red).

peppers, prawns with chilli, lemon and parsley or albondigas meat,
all complemented with a bottle of Saigoba Rioja from the San Vincente
