Restaurant Closed after illness An Indian restaurant in Birmingham's Balti Triangle has closed following a suspected salmonella outbreak. Lahore Kebab House in Balsall Heath, Sparkbrook, has been given an emergency hygiene notice from the City Council. The suspected outbreak was discovered when 11 people, who said they had eaten at the restaurant, were diagnosed with salmonella by their GPs. Health officers said that the outbreak was due to poor cleaning, cross-contamination and unsafe practices. The premises, on Ladypool Road, will remain closed until the issues have been resolved. top
