 Giraffe Restaurant Confirm Additional New Openings

 

The award winning, family-friendly restaurant group Giraffe will open eight new restaurants within the next 10 months including four franchise outlets in the airports with The Restaurant Group TRG

The openings confirmed are Guildford high street (August) Exeter's Princesshay (September), Manchester Spinningfields (October) with both Cambridge and Bristol (Cabot Circus) confirmed for early in 2008. Giraffe are also close to agreeing terms for restaurants in Brighton, Nottingham, Oxford and Birmingham.

They will also introduce a new concept into both Stansted and T5 with the launch of the "FRESH JUICE & COFFEE BAR". This concept focuses on serving freshly made sandwiches /wraps/pastries/hand -roasted coffee and freshly made to order juices and smoothies - all served in a funky diner style design - similar to the giraffe business but giving it, its own identity. If this new concept works, giraffe plans to open these in small locations in busy high street - business locations.

Giraffe's philosophy is to provide a relaxed, comfortable dining experience with a focus on healthy and ethical eating for all the family. Its ability to blend in with its local surrounds has been instrumental to its success - managing to make each restaurant unique, but relevant to its local customer base. The restaurant menu offers an extensive choice of foods from around the world including wholesome brunches, fresh fish dishes, mezze finger food, classic global burgers, wok fired noodle dishes, great cheesecake, hand roasted coffee, specialty organic teas, cocktails and freshly squeezed juices and smoothies supplemented by weekly blackboard specials, all served by a friendly team to the sounds of spirited global music from the 'Putumayo' record label.

Giraffe's management team is led by Russel and Juliette Joffe together with Andrew Jacobs. The husband and wife team founded Giraffe in 1998, four years after selling their successful Café Flo chain. Presently there are 17 Giraffes open in prime locations in Marylebone, Hampstead, Islington, Battersea, Chiswick Richmond, Kensington, Muswell Hill, Wimbledon, Spitalfields, Heathrow Airport (franchise with TRG), The Royal Festival Hall, Milton Keynes, Manchester Trafford Centre, the Brunswick Centre in Bloomsbury, Walton-on-Thames & recently opened in Lakeside Shopping centre new Boardwalk.
