Italian restaurant in Blackheath (1 Lawn Terrace, Blackheath Village,
London, SE3 9LJ Tel: 020 8852 0700) is to launch its Olive Room for
private functions and lunch dining from July. Sunday Jazz will also
take place regularly from 8th July.
Locale
Blackheath will be opening for lunch during the week from July in the
new Olive Room on the ground floor. The Olive Room seats 40 diners
and is perfect for private dinner dining, lunchtimes and large
groups. Also available for private functions, the Olive Room can
cater for 55 people for a buffet style event, reception or
presentation. The Olive Room is an intimate space, created by
Brigitte D'Angelo resplendent with fine upholstery, rich oak
flooring, delicate wallpaper.
Lunch at
Blackheath is available throughout the week for the first time to
offer diners the delicious new summer menu. The best Italian cuisine
is available at Locale with the Italian chefs using traditional
recipes and Italian ingredients when available. Starters on the
summer menu include Calamari Grigliati con ceci, rucola
aglio e peperoncino (Grilled baby squid with garlic and chilli
served on chickpea puree and rocket) and main courses offer Linguine
ai frutti di mare (Seafood linguine with fresh tomato, clams,
mussels, calamari, baby octopus and king prawns). The lunch menu will
offer two courses for £13.95 and three courses for just £15.95.
By popular
demand, Sundays and Blackheath will be jazzed up from the 8th July.
On regular Sundays, diners can enjoy local talent playing the best
jazz tunes. Three piece bands with vocals will accompany the
appetising food between 1 and 4pm - the perfect way to spend a lazy
Sunday lunch.
This summer
local guests and visitors to the area alike can enjoy the new menu of
traditional Italian food in a new and interesting addition at Locale
restaurant in Blackheath.
Locale
Restaurants are owned by Mark Evans, Mark Elphicke and Douglas
Smillie, each with extensive experience in the restaurant industry.
With three branches already they are looking to expand further in
London, to bring delicious, authentic Italian food with great service
to other local neighbourhoods.
