Zutsu,
in central London, is an Eastern-themed snack bar with a difference.
Featuring Japanese food - both take-away and to eat in - it's
extremely popular with time-pressed Londoners who want 'food to go' quickly.
Zutsu's theme
is 'something for everyone' and the menu offers a wide variety of
foods - not only the familiar Japanese food such as sushi but also
menu items less familiar to European tastes, such as Gyoza (filled
dumplings), Korokke (Japanese croquette) and Tonkatsu (a traditional
style of breaded pork cutlet), Japanese curries and much more.
And almost
all the cooked food is prepared using a Rational SelfCooking Center
in a kitchen of only 10m2.
"The
SelfCooking Center has allowed us to greatly reduce the space
required for the kitchen equipment, and also to cut our power consumption,"
says Zutsu's owner. "Furthermore, because we no longer need
to constantly monitor the food preparation, we only need one employee
instead of the three we used to have, and our food is still top quality."
Customer
feedback has been enthusiastic: "It's great to have a snack
bar that offers such delicious Asian food at such a reasonable price!"
says one regular customer. |
