of Roast has been asked to chair a government committee into the
employment rates of ethnic minorities in the UK.
As chair of
the Ethnic Minority Action Group - a representative consortium of
interested parties from around the country - he will report his
findings and recommendations to a task force set up by the prime
minister made up of six cabinet ministers, the chair of the CRE and
himself, which will implement positive procedures and policies aimed
at significantly reducing the barriers to employment among this group.
"This is
a purely voluntary position and I am very excited by it" said
Wahhab.
