New
Seychelles Restaurant Opens In Heart Of London
|
Located in
Camden, Kaz Kreol is owned by Jude and Sheila Sinon, who hope to lure
customers with an array of authentic Seychellois dishes, from
succulent main courses like octopus curry and grilled red snapper, to
traditional sweet and sour accompaniments such as papaya or golden
apple chutneys. Seychelles' renowned desserts are also on the menu,
including coconut nougat and mixed ladob.
According to
Ms Sinon, the restaurant would be a sure hit with the Seychellois
crowd living in London, but could also be a great attraction for
Londoners who may have previously visited Seychelles and are eager
for a nostalgic meal to relive their island experience.
Alternatively,
she said Kaz Kreol would also be a good way for potential tourists to
Seychelles to get a sneak preview of the islands in anticipation of
their trip, not to mention its appeal for those simply looking for an
unusual eating-out experience.
"The
people in London and Camden love to try new things, and it also has
great transport links to the rest of London, so it's easy for anyone
to come and give us a try," said Ms Sinon.
Kaz Kreol
hosts a three-course buffet lunch, while an "a la carte"
menu is featured in the evenings. The restaurant also caters for
private parties.
The restaurant
is expected to be a great venue for the Seychelles Tourism Board
(STB) as a potential launching pad for marketing initiatives.
"STB will support this wonderful development by hosting business
meetings and other tourism events at the restaurant, where the local
cuisine and atmosphere does not have to be re-created at another
location at additional costs, time and effort," said Nathalie
Savy, STB's marketing manager for the UK.
