The
Speciality And Fine Food Fair Comes To London In September
|
The
Speciality and Fine Food Fair will be taking place at London's
Olympia between 3rd and 5th September, 2006. It is the pinnacle of
the fine food calendar. Over 400 specialist fine food and drink
suppliers will be in attendance, many of whom use the event as their
only 'public' display.
It is the
perfect forum for producers and suppliers to meet the high quality of
visitors, including top end caterers, delicatessen owners, retailers,
restaurateurs, wholesalers and distributors, who are attracted to the
show to experience the unique and exceptional food and drink products
on display from both UK and international representatives.
A key feature
will be the Fine Food Forum, where chefs and industry experts will
run lively demonstrations and tastings, showing the diverse nature of
speciality food and drink. Additional features are set to be
confirmed so watch this space.
The Great
Taste Awards 2006
An integral
feature of the show is The Great Taste Awards, organised by the Guild
of Fine Food Retailers, which is renowned for being the most
prestigious and authoritative food competition - or the 'Oscars' of
the fine food world. Anticipation for these awards builds following
regional judging over 150 different food classes at the Harrogate and
Edinburgh Specialty and Fine Food Shows. This is followed by a
further eight days judging in London in July and August. Last year
they had to get through some 4,500 entries. Winners are revealed
during a sumptuous dinner and awards ceremony held in London during
The Speciality and Fine Food Fair, London.
