Tusker
Supports Kenya Exile At Twickenham
The 3rd and
4th of June saw a slice of Kenya coming to the UK. Kenya Exile UK is
organised a weekend of exultation with the support of Tusker, East
Africa's no 1 premium lager. The weekend is to help raise much needed
funds for Kenyan rugby. Kenya's Rugby 7's team is visiting to
entertain the UK fans and "wananchi" at Twickenham for the
Emirates Airline London 7s.
As well as
using the Rugby 7's to promote awareness of Kenyan Rugby, Kenya Exile
is also hosted a Tusker after-game party to raise money for the UK
based Kenyan rugby club that would like to participate in the 2007
Tusker Safari 7's Tournament. The after party at the Twilight Night
Club boasted the first ever Tusker Bar in the UK. There were some
great guest appearance DJ's to get the crowd going including top
Kenyan Artists Pili Pili and Juacali as well as a host of top DJ's:
Dubwise, Doc, Viagra, Clem, Collo, Mr. Bigz and Gasper to name but a
few. Rugby, beer and song definitely a recipe for a great time to be
had by all.
Peter Karsten,
Marketing Director of Surfax (Tusker's UK distributor) says: "We
are delighted to be supporting Kenya Exile and hope that with
Tusker's support the event will be a great success."
Tusker is
brewed using the highest quality equatorial malted barley grown at
the base of Mt. Kenya and in the Kenyan Rift Valley. It is a crisp
and clean tasting lager making it a great thirst quencher as well as
the ideal accompaniment to food. Tusker's heritage dates back to
1922. It is loved by East Africans and has become part of the
regional fabric. Tusker lager is named in memory of the brewery's
founder George Hurst, who was killed by a rogue elephant in 1923.
